I’m racking up some miles and having a great time! He’s keeping me pretty busy all around the U.S. and we’ll be heading to Europe for a few weeks in September but I will be plugging in some solo shows and CSB shows whenever I can. Come see CSB Oct 4 in Fayette AL for the Frog Level Festival.
It was a phenomenal weekend of playing music and seeing the people!! Friday, I did Happy Hour at Moes Original BBQ in Tuscaloosa AL.. then on to Innisfree in Birmingham AL to perform with Anthony Wiggins on drums and Eric Onimus on bass. Always great at Innisfree! Saturday was the annual Foothills Festival in Jasper AL. I was joined by Leif Bondarenko on drums, Brad Baker on bass and Gary Edmonds on guitar. We were so honored to be on this show!! We played first, then I stuck around to see The McCrary Sisters, Paul Thorn, Taylor Hicks and Robert Randolph and the Family Band. What a great day and night of music and togetherness! I have to thank Zach Baker and the city of Jasper AL for making it happen and all the bands and crew for making it easy and sound so great… And don’t forget all the good folks that came out to watch and listen and join in with us!! It’s been a while but…. new music and other new things will be coming soon!! In addition to the Chris Simmons Blues Trio, there’s a new exciting project in the works. Some of the details are still being kicked around… but stay tuned for further details and release dates.
